Associate Judge Lisette Catherine Mojica is a 1994 graduate of Illinois Benedictine College, and a 1997 graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law.  She served as a prosecutor and Assistant State’s Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office for 19 years, where she handled felony cases of all types and supervised attorneys in various units.  In 2016, she joined the Law Department at the City of Chicago, where served as the City Prosecutor and supervised several attorneys in the Legal Information & Prosecutions Division.  In July of 2018, she was sworn in as an Associate Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County.  She currently sits in the Sixth Municipal District in Markham, Illinois.  For two years, she held a floating assignment and presided over traffic matters, parentage matters, domestic violence matters, civil orders of protection and stalking no contact orders, small claims and collections matters, misdemeanor cases and felony cases. 

In October of 2020, Judge Mojica was assigned to Courtroom 205, one of the four misdemeanor courtrooms at the Markham courthouse.  In Courtroom 205 she presides over criminal misdemeanor and traffic matters, including driving under the influence cases, including litigation consisting of motions, bench trials and jury trials.
